ViCi have successfully qualified for the $60,000 finals of MSI MGA 2019 after besting BOOT 2-0 in the grand final.
The grand final series kicked off on Inferno, where a 3-0 dash from BOOT was succeeded by retaliaton from ViCi's defence, that managed to assume a lead, doubling their opponents' initial scoreline. The teams split the remaining six rounds in equal measure, producing a 9-6 CT half for WeiJie "zhokiNg" Zhong and company.
BOOT secured a consecutive pistol round, however momentum was conceded immediately after, allowing ViCi access to the driver's seat, and as a result, four back-to-back rounds. In a last-ditch effort, the Singaporean defence strung together three rounds, but ViCi went on to match their performance, closing the first map on a 16-10 note.
Nuke was opened up with a double kill from Zhuo "advent" Liang, who ensured an early lead for ViCi's T side. The Singaporean defence equalised off the back of success with rifles in hand, sprinting to 5-3. Affairs proceeded in close fashion, subsequently producing an 8-7 half time score, favoured towards ViCi's offense.
Andrew "kaze" Khong ensured continuing momentum for his team after a 1v2 situation was successfully converted in the second pistol round. This performance inspired the Chinese squad to spotless a 14-7 lead, creating a predicament for the offense. BOOT managed to accrue a total of 10 rounds, the last thanks to Benedict "Benkai" Tan's quad kill, but in conclusion the Singaporean squad was unable to push the series into a third map, conceding the final with a 10-16 score.
